AI Video Live Chat
Experience an experimental almost real-time video chat with an average latency of approximately 1.5× the generated video duration. The system is fully customizable — you can upload your own images and use your own custom prompts to create a personalized experience. The chat itself is free to use. The only cost is the GPU pod ($2.99/hour) required to generate the video content. Billing is charged per minute, so the effective rate is $0.05/minute. You only pay for the time your pod is running. NSFW content is supported.
You can purchase credits here. Alternatively, you can pay via PayPal. If you would like to use PayPal, please contact our support team at info@animatefriend.com and we will create a payment transaction for you. For more information about the chat, please visit our FAQ section here.

FAQ
1. What is Experimental AI Video Live Chat ?
Our Experimental AI Video Live Chat is a fully interactive video chat system that allows users to have conversations with an AI character that responds in almost real time using generated video and voice.
Unlike many other solutions on the market, this is a genuine live chat experience. The video responses are generated dynamically during the conversation—they are not pre-recorded clips. It is also not a simple text-to-speech avatar system. Each response is created specifically for the ongoing interaction, making conversations more natural, engaging, and immersive.
2. Can I upload and use my own images ?
Yes. The live chat interface allows you to upload and use an unlimited number of images. You can easily switch between different images at any time during your session.
You can also freely edit and update the character prompt that defines the AI's personality, behavior, appearance, and conversation style. This gives you complete control over how your AI companion looks and interacts with you.
3. Can I upload NSFW images ?
Yes. NSFW images are allowed, provided they comply with applicable laws and our Terms of Service.
Legal adult NSFW content is fully supported by the platform and can be processed by the AI Video Live Chat without any issues. However, users remain responsible for ensuring that all uploaded content is lawful and complies with our policies.
4. What Is the Response Latency ?
Text responses are generated almost instantly, typically within a few milliseconds.
Video response generation takes longer and depends on the selected quality settings. In general, the latency is approximately 1× to 2× the length of the generated video. For example, a 10-second video response may take roughly 10–20 seconds to generate.
The exact generation time depends on several parameters that you can control within the chat interface, including video resolution, video duration, frame rate (FPS), the number of diffusion steps, and other quality-related settings.
5. How Can I Control Video Quality ?
The default settings are optimized to provide a good balance between quality and responsiveness. By default, videos are generated at approximately 420×420 pixels, resulting in a typical latency of around 1.5× the video duration.
For simple face-only conversations, you can often reduce the resolution to around 300×300 pixels and achieve significantly faster generation speeds, with latency approaching 1× the video duration. In many cases, the visual quality remains acceptable for close-up character interactions.
More complex scenes, however, may require higher resolutions to maintain good visual quality. In such cases, you may want to increase the resolution to 640×640 pixels or higher. This generally improves detail and scene consistency but can increase latency to approximately 2× the video duration.
Additional settings such as frame rate (FPS), video length, and generation quality parameters can also affect both output quality and generation speed, allowing you to fine-tune the balance between realism and responsiveness.
6. How Is the System Optimized and How Do You Guarantee Video Quality ?
By default, the system is optimized to achieve the best balance between quality and speed, especially for face-only chat scenarios.
The default configuration is statistically tuned, meaning that in most cases the chat delivers high-quality outputs with optimal generation speed. However, it is not possible to guarantee the quality or performance of every individual video, as results may vary depending on runtime conditions.
When users upload their own images, the outcome may differ even more, since quality depends on the complexity and characteristics of the input image and how well it is interpreted by the model. These factors cannot be fully predicted or controlled in advance.
As a result, some outputs may be highly realistic and stable, while others—especially at lower resolutions or with more complex inputs—may contain visual or audio artifacts.
For best results, we recommend experimenting with different types of images and settings. If needed, our support team is available to help optimize your experience.
7. What Is the Price of the AI Video Live Chat ?
Our AI Video Live Chat is free to use. We do not monetize the chat itself, as the product is currently operating in an experimental mode where output quality may vary.
The only cost is the infrastructure required to run the system — specifically, the GPU pod that powers video generation.
GPU Pod pricing: $2.99 per hour. Billing is calculated per minute, which equals approximately $0.05 per minute.
There are no additional fees or hidden charges. Once a GPU pod is running (charged per minute), you can freely use the live chat, switch between chats, upload images, and modify prompts without any impact on pricing. The cost remains the same regardless of how you use the session.
When you are finished, you simply stop the pod to end billing.
8. How Do I Launch the GPU Pod ?
To launch a GPU pod, simply log in to your account and enter the live chat interface. Then click the green "Create Pod" button to activate it.
After activation, the pod typically takes around 1–5 minutes to start up. This initialization time cannot be accelerated or bypassed. Once the pod is running, you can begin chatting immediately.
To stop the pod, click the red "Destroy Pod" button, which appears in the bottom-left corner of the screen while the pod is active. Destroying the pod immediately shuts it down and stops all billing.
You can restart the pod at any time, but please note that each restart will again require a 1–5 minute initialization period. For this reason, it is recommended to keep the pod running until you have finished your session.
9. Is chat history saved ?
Yes. Your chat history is stored and you can continue your conversation at any time until you manually delete the history.
10. What Happens to My Data and Video Content ?
We take user privacy and anonymity seriously. When you click the "Destroy Pod" button, all generated video content associated with that chat is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. However, the text conversation history remains stored so you can continue the chat later if desired.
If you want to remove the text history as well, you can manually delete the conversation, after which it can no longer be restored.
